Water Fueled Cars: An Alternative to Economic and Environmental Problems
One question may be in our minds when we speak of water fueled cars and that is, are they
for real?
For years now, we know that scientists have been considering water as an alternative to petroleum products and
with the economic and environmental problems that have come to plague our society in the present, it seems a viable
solution to these societal dilemma.
News of water fueled cars being developed can just be found everywhere. Read on the newspapers, the magazines,
watched on the TV, and even heard on the local radio stations. The question is, how true are they and are they
already existing at present?
Before we answer those two questions, let's first understand how water is used as fuel to these kinds of
automobiles.
Common belief is that water fueled cars run using ordinary water as fuel. That ordinary water is involved in
some sort of process to fuel the water engine and produce motion. This is, however, only in science fiction.
There is also a hypothesis that water fueled cars are like the hydrogen cars, or the cars that run through the
injection of hydrogen into its engine. That is almost the point of the kind of car that runs on water as the energy
source.
The truth of the matter is that these water fueled cars are receiving their power or energy from a power plant
that uses an energy carrier which is the element, hydrogen. Although at some point, the water fueled cars may be
receiving energy from a power plant, this kind of cars actually run on water fuel. It generates the energy it needs
through water fuel, hence the name, water fuel.
Now that we know the basics of how water powered cars work, we go on into its role as the alternative to fossil
fuels or petroleum products.
Water fuel means it uses water, an element abundant on the face of the earth. Petroleum or fossil fuels, on the
other hand, are products of Mother Earth from the depth of her core. While water may be easy to replenish, fossil
fuels or petroleum takes a rather long time to get replaced by the natural processes that Mother Earth applies in
producing the resource. To go straight to the point, water as fuel is the answer to the problem of scarcity of the
petroleum or fossil fuel products we are currently experiencing. We don't have to fight other countries for their
oil reserves the way things are going on right now.
Another thing that water fuel does to the environment is that it keeps the air clean and unpolluted. It is a
fact that fossil fuels or the petroleum products are one of the chemical compounds that contribute to air pollution
aside from the others that come from factories and such.
Finally, regarding money matters, we can deduce that water fueled cars would be rather low-maintenance because
it uses water fuel and water is an abundant resource in our ecosystem.
Cars That Run on Water Tip #1
No matter what anybody tells you, there is not yet a water powered car in production. That is an urban myth that
reached its peak with Stanley Meyer who claimed that he drove one hundred miles using only four ounces of water (he
was later convicted of fraud). The water powered engine hasn't even been invented yet. Scientists are still trying
to figure out if it is even possible.
Cars That Run on Water Tip #2
Many major car manufacturers are embracing the idea of the hydrogen car. BMW hopes to release a hydrogen car to
the public by 2008 (or 2010 at the latest) and other manufacturers like Toyota are also making plans to release
hydrogen car lines. Of course the debate over using hydrogen in cars is still raging and nothing has been settled
yet.
Cars That Run on Water Tip #3
While both a water based engine and a hydrogen engine will do wonders for fuel emissions and the environment,
one of the major reasons people want them is to improve their fuel mileage. Of course, gas mileage can be improved
right now. You can improve your gas mileage drastically just by driving sensibly and making sure your car is
maintained properly.
