Futuristic Cars: Not So Far into the Future Anymore
Those that grew up watching the cartoon The Jetsons’ in their futuristic cars never thought
they would live to see the day that such cars would be available. Futuristic cars were relegated to the science
fiction buffs, but now with the energy crisis touching all nations worldwide, futuristic cars don’t seem to be so
far into the future.
The Tilting 4-Wheeler Futuristic Cars
Looking like a vehicle that would star in a science fiction movie, the tilting 4 wheeler futuristic cars created
by Philip James, an Australian inventor, is one that is said will be able to give the owner and driver more than
one hundred miles per gallon. For stability, it tilts going around curves and corners and is a thinly shaped car
reminiscent of the new cell phones in use today.
There are also tilting three wheeler cars that are in production that are narrow and will take up less space on
the road. Of course if you have a large family this type of futuristic car won’t be for you, but it will be an
economical option to get the commuter to and from work.
Slide Futuristic Cars
The Slide futuristic cars are made for just a single passenger. It runs on electrical power which is clean and
two seater cars will be a thing of the past if this futuristic car concept takes hold. It will be used for city
driving and gives the driver a unique perspective as to cycle and pedestrian traffic. All will be on equal footing
as to height so those on foot or on bicycle will be easily seen and less accidents will be less likely to occur.
Innovative materials that are lightweight are being used to create these strange looking futuristic cars.
Single Person Vehicle CERVA MC08
If this is the shape of futuristic cars to come it certainly is a unique one. This futuristic vehicle has two
wheels and is shaped live an oval. Michael Erva is the inventor of this unique looking concept car. For those that
seek the ultimate in thrills this is definitely the wave of the future for them. It can be used as a submarine,
yacht, plane, motorcycle or just a car. It is said that using the CERVA MC08 will have you tumbling and rolling
about in the air. It is able to carry two people in an aerodynamic shape that will have the wealthy clamoring for
these futuristic cars.
Airwaves Futuristic Cars for Urban Travel
These futuristic cars are cute and compact and will make finding a parking space a snap. The car is designed
with the safety of driver, passenger and pedestrians in mind. If for some reason you should hit someone walking,
the cabin will lift itself up with its special mechanism. Airbags for both inside and outside will further protect
all involved in a crash and it can boast zero emissions as it is an electrically powered car.
It seems the future is upon us and futuristic cars and their concepts are no longer as far fetched as they
seemed in the days of the Model T. Pretty soon everyone will be driving futuristic cars and a new name will need to
be found for them.
Cars That Run on Water Tip #1
No matter what anybody tells you, there is not yet a water powered car in production. That is an urban myth that
reached its peak with Stanley Meyer who claimed that he drove one hundred miles using only four ounces of water (he
was later convicted of fraud). The water powered engine hasn't even been invented yet. Scientists are still trying
to figure out if it is even possible.
Cars That Run on Water Tip #2
Many major car manufacturers are embracing the idea of the hydrogen car. BMW hopes to release a hydrogen car to
the public by 2008 (or 2010 at the latest) and other manufacturers like Toyota are also making plans to release
hydrogen car lines. Of course the debate over using hydrogen in cars is still raging and nothing has been settled
yet.
Cars That Run on Water Tip #3
While both a water based engine and a hydrogen engine will do wonders for fuel emissions and the environment,
one of the major reasons people want them is to improve their fuel mileage. Of course, gas mileage can be improved
right now. You can improve your gas mileage drastically just by driving sensibly and making sure your car is
maintained properly.
